What we do
As one of NZ's leading consultancies we work with small and medium sized Kiwi companies to help them improve their productivity and ISO management systems in a practical, engaging and hands on way.

When we started in 2015 our focus has been to keep things as simple and practical for people as possible, and that stays the same today. It's easy to make things complicated, but it takes effort and knowledge to simplify things, making them easy to understanding and useful, that's our secret sauce. We are experts in making things simple, because simple works and keeps working.

Originally from Scotland, I've spent time working in Ireland, Romania, China and of course New Zealand. After graduating with an Engineering Honours Degree in Manufacturing Systems with Management, I started out as a process engineering within contract electronics where I also did a master’s degree in Electronics Manufacturing, before moving into leadership roles in engineering, manufacturing, operations and plant management. I've been fortunate to lead teams from 5 to 142 people across those industries helping grow those teams, develop new leaders and improve profitability in each of them.
That experience helped me understand that those 'special' challenges across organisations aren't different at all, they are the same, and they are all about people and about having a process people want to use.
Where I can help
I love working with companies to achieve ISO compliance by helping them understand what they need and develop processes that are simple and clear for everyone.
Having lived in lean environments for almost 20 years, I cant help but think lean and see inefficiencies. Helping others see differently, spot issues and understand what you can do to improve these things is one of the very best parts of what I get to do.
My passion for simplicity extends to helping businesses understand what strategy and leadership really are and develop simple, clear ways of working.

With 20+ years working in the manufacturing industry, my primary focus has always been quality, with very close ties or direct responsibility also for Health, Safety and Environment, and Food Safety up to FSSC level.
I’ve been lucky enough to work across a range of sectors from packaging to plastic pipes! During that time, I’ve worked in facilities with teams from the 50s through to greenfield builds, and the machinery to match, I can be extremely versatile in finding solutions!
I find the similarities in requirements for QHSE and FS are very common, and working towards a simple, standardised solution across all departments is the ultimate goal to enable any company to have an integrated supportive approach to what they need to achieve. I’m passionate about making ISO work for the business, utilising best practice from the standard to make real positive change and outcomes for the company I’m working with.
Where I can help
Having lived with some really strict ISO and food safety requirements it's become second nature to me, so helping people understand the real requirements and how to meet them simply is my happy place.
I love collaborating with teams who want to move forward in their certification journey and to help make the process a lot less intimidating for them all.
